Final exams begin the week of June 4th.

  • June 4th – 3rd Period Final Exam
  • June 5th – 2nd Period Final Exam
  • June 6th – 1st Period Final Exam
  • June 7th – 4th Period Final Exam

Exam exemption policy is as follows:

  • 4 Absences – Grade of A
  • 3 Absences – Grade of B
  • 2 Absences – Grade of C

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me in class!

If you have more than 6 unexcused absences, you will need to come to attendance recovery starting March 22nd, 2012.

Afterthoughts is offered in the library from 3:00 to 4:30. During this time you can make up any extra days you have missed. Don’t wait until the last minute!

Any students missing more than 9 unexcused days will fail for attendance automatically.

The first nine-week grading period will end on Thursday, March 29th. All missing tests and homework assignments must be made up before that date. Don’t wait until the last minute!

1st Period Algebra
Review for the exam – Tuesday, 1/17/12 from 11:30 – 2:45pm
EOC – Wednesday 1/18/12 from 8:00 – 11:00am

2nd Period Algebra
Review for the exam – Friday, 1/13/12 from 11:30 – 2:45pm
EOC – Tuesday, 1/17/12 from 8:00 – 11:00am

There are no exemptions from the Algebra 1 examination. It is a state test.

4th Period Honors Geometry
Review for the exam – Wednesday 1/18/12 from 11:30 – 2:45pm
Final Exam – Thursday, 1/19/12 from 8:00am – 10:00am

Students who meet exemption criteria do not need to attend either of these.

Exemption Policy:
4 absences with a Grade of A
3 absences with a Grade of B
2 absences with a Grade of C

Our next test will be on Friday, November 18th, 2011.

Students are reminded to take advantage of the numerous review opportunities offered. Please make sure you study – benchmarks comprise a lot of your grade!

Geometry students will have a quiz on Monday, September 26th, 2011 covering our unit on Triangles and properties of Polygons. Items being tested include:

  • Classifying Triangles
  • Triangle Angle Theorems
  • Properties of Polygons
  • Angles of Polygons

Algebra students will have a test on Friday, September 23rd, 2011 on our unit covering Equations and Formulas. The topics on the test include:

  • Solving Linear Equations
  • Direct Variation
  • Modeling Equations
